Grand Prix Motor Racing - Continuing the transport theme of recent years, Royal Mail have issued six stamps showing classic Grand Prix racing cars that were driven by champion British Drivers. The stamps are issued to mark the centenary of the race track at Brooklands and the 50th anniversary of the British driver Stirling Moss winning the British Grand Prix in a British Car.
The limited edition FDC shows a veteran car in British Racing Green
cancelled with the Silverstone postmark showing a chequered flag.

54p Jackie Stewart - Tyrrell 1973
