This year marks the centenary of the United Kingdom's first powered flight which was undertaken by the American, Samuel Franklin Cody. This took place at Farnborough in British Army Aircraft One. It is also the 60th anniversary of the Farnborough International Air Show and the 90th anniversary of the forming of the Royal Air Force.
The 50p Red Arrows stamp is on an exclusive postcard published by Norvic Philatelics, and cancelled with the Concord Road Birmingham Red Arrows postmark on the day of issue. This is a very limited edition postcard; mint copies also available, as are others in the series.
Also available mint stamps, FDCs, stamp cards, presentation pack, Smilers Sheet - click here to see the whole range.
