Norvic Philatelics - GB New Stamps and Special Postmarks

Greetings retail stamp booklet - 13 May 2008

Royal Mail will issue a new retail book in early summer to support stamp retailers. The book will target retailers in seaside towns and consumers sending holiday postcards. Following suggestions from the stamp trade after the announcement of the 'Beside the Seaside' stamps in 2007, the 'Ice Cream' retail book will include two 1st class Ice Cream stamps and four 1st class gold Definitives. All stamps in the retail book will be self-adhesive.

Royal Mail will not regard this as a new issue, so there will not be an official first day cover or First Day of Issue postmarks.

Any special postmarks will be provided when they are available. As the date of issue has now been changed to coincide with the 'Cathedrals' stamps, all special handstamps available for that set can also be used on this booklet.

Technical details:
The booklets are printed by Walsall Security Print in gravure, and the stamps are self-adhesive.

First Day Cover

We will produce a small number of covers for this booklet, priced at £5.50.
Covers with the single Ice cream stamp are priced at £2.75.

If any special postmarks are available for the day of issue they will be shown here. - these may not be to scale - we do not expect any more to be announced. These postmarks will be dated 13 May and not as shown; examples cannot be obtained after 13th May.
